This is a two-pronged thread, both involving exterior lighting. No, they don't tie into each other.
1. When we bought the Tahoe, the RR reverse light was out. The shop we took it to for state inspection said the wiring was bad, and they quoted $700 to fix it (outrageous, right?). Any way I could get a wiring diagram for a 99 4 dr to see if I can get that light fixed?
2. I've always seen the green light on other people's Tahoe dashes. I've never had that light, and I have never had DRL's of some sort. Were these standard equipment for our generation and mine were removed, or do I have the magical one that never had them in the first place? Some sites say it was standard. I'm asking because some of the aftermarket headlights I've been looking at come with LED bumper lights, and they claim they won't work without the DRL function. Is this anything to worry about, or do I need to add DRL's of some sort?
Sorry #2 is so long, I don't want to waste money on something I couldn't use.
