This is a two-pronged thread, both involving exterior lighting. No, they don't tie into each other.

1. When we bought the Tahoe, the RR reverse light was out. The shop we took it to for state inspection said the wiring was bad, and they quoted $700 to fix it (outrageous, right?). Any way I could get a wiring diagram for a 99 4 dr to see if I can get that light fixed?

2. I've always seen the green light on other people's Tahoe dashes. I've never had that light, and I have never had DRL's of some sort. Were these standard equipment for our generation and mine were removed, or do I have the magical one that never had them in the first place? Some sites say it was standard. I'm asking because some of the aftermarket headlights I've been looking at come with LED bumper lights, and they claim they won't work without the DRL function. Is this anything to worry about, or do I need to add DRL's of some sort?

Sorry #2 is so long, I don't want to waste money on something I couldn't use.

@#1. Provide ur vin and if Sunlitcomet sees ur post im sure he could help...
@#2. DRLs were standard on like 96+... Most people disable them... The green light in the dash can b on or off bcuz of a burnt out bulb or it was removed... A few things to check out are...
1) The fuse panel on the drivers side #15 I believe...
2) DRL diode (honeycomb looking thing) under the dash on the right side of the steering column
3) circut board in a grey plastic box located under the dash...

VIN: 1GNEC13R3XJ377530

Checked the fuses, fuse itself looks okay, swapped in a spare just to be safe, gonna test it later because of time. If they still don't work, I'll check the diode.

still nothing, what's the best way to test that diode? And I assume it's the same part as a '98 1500, so what would it cost me to get one out at a Pick-n-Pull if I so need one?
