So I've been doing research on wix filters for my 07 denali, and my 2012 Sierra 2500 with the 6.0.
From what I've read there are multiple filters people are using. Standard short filter, or longer. Longer with a lower bypass psi and longer with a higher bypass psi (22).
So which is everyone using for our yukons with the 6.2?

This is what the application calls for at RA. Same filter for both applications. I used to think that getting a longer filter was an advantage. IMO, the oil pressure builds faster with the stock shorter filter. I do not SEE an advantage to messing around with different filters. There is a reason for the stock applications that WIX calls for. Good call on using WIX, my filters of choice.

Just my 2 cents.. I've been using the wix 57045 on these rigs for several years.
IDK if it's really any better.. It's longer so it hold a little more oil.. My main
thing is that its easier for me to put on and take off as it hangs about an inch lower.
I compared all the specs between the 57045 and the oe 57060 before I used it.

wix.com have a good cross reference by all the sizes and thread. if you wanna take a look for yourself.

I used to run
WIX 57502XP 22PSI 4.09 inches Synthetic 10-12GPM 22x1.5MM

but after way to much reading about filters, it seems the xp being their racing line, it trades off high flow for fine filtering. which is fine for low mileage high rpm engine that needs every psi it can get but a non xp seems to be rated at a lower micron filtering but more pressure drop across it at high rpm. might be better for a high mileage low rpm daily.

I personally ended up switching to a fram fe10575. most seem to consider a good quality per $ ratio.

end of the day, the best almost always ends up being amsoil if money isn't a concern for you.

That 57502 wix fits most of the ford f150's with the turbo engines !!! So I'll have to
stay away from That !!!!
The XP filters - as I understand it from wix- are designed from the start to work
'better' wix modern synthetic oils... I don't think it's to do with rpms/racing etc...
But I'm not here to argue.. just adding info !

I've had both open, the xp is definitely a very different looking media from my untrained eye. but I only say that because digging around on wix site. some filters will list the micron they filter too. the standard media was always listed as lower than the xp version. while having the xp apart, the media has a backing to it that looks like reinforcement to me. hince support for high flows

I might have pics
