This is the offer that the local GMC dealer (Raleigh) gave me for a 2024 Yukon XL AT4 with AT4 premium plus package. A) is this a decent offer and B) would you get the line items I circled from the dealer or elsewhere? We had not previously discussed these items, and when I asked about them after seeing this offer, he said they do these things for all vehicles. That’s another $1,750 which to me seems steep for what it is but maybe that’s standard?

Those options are WAY overpriced. The only windows that need to be tinted are the front doors, all of the other glass is tinted glass from the factory. Nitrogen in the tires is useless, it's nothing but a money maker for the dealer. You can buy a full set of Husky Weatherbeater floor liners for about $220. The infotainment screen protector can be found for $40. LaminX door edge guards ... $16.99, Door cups $24.99 ... total $42 and they want $599.

Thank you for this information. I felt like it was a bit absurd what they were charging for these options. Will have them remove them and will look around for reputable place to get front windows tinted. Thanks for your input!

Also $749 is a ridiculous dealer fee. In our area of the Midwest that is usually a 150 to 200 dollars. Another money grab by the dealer.
In Florida it is sometimes a thousand to 1500 dollars. Absolute insanity. I would travel out of state to find a vehicle before I would pay any of these fees, and have a nice vacation to boot.

That's a rip off. Most high volume dealerships are advertising anywhere from $4,000 to $8,000 off 2024 GMC Yukons these days with no dealer add-ons. Well worth it to travel and get a good deal these days. It'll help the market by increasing the frequency of "arbitrage" as well.

Ok, thank you for your input. It’s been several years since I bought a new vehicle, and I am not good at negotiating (female, intimidated pretty easily lol), and I had a feeling I was being taken advantage of. Will shop around. Thank you for this info, appreciate it!

Kudos for you coming to this site and ask for a second opinion. Yes, those options are way overpriced, but it boils down to how much is your time worth to individually look for, price, and purchase these options on your own. If you have the time, you can save yourself a nice chunk of change, and the folks above have already given you purchase options to save you time looking for them.

Nitrogen! :rotflmao:

Just say no to everything. If you really want plastic film under your door handles and window tint any PPF installer in Raleigh will be able to do that for you for half the dealer cost (or less).

I just did every window in my Escalade ESV with ceramic tint for $800. Regular tint was only $400. I bet if you ask your dealer the $499 window tint is only the front two windows.

ETA: if they won't budge I'd just walk. Hendricks and Parks are both listing identically equipped XL AT4's with the AT4 Premium Plus package. An hour of your time to drive 80 miles is probably worth $1750 to you on an after tax basis (unless you get paid more than $2500 per hour).
