Hello everyone,
So my truck is black and the interior is tan, the dash is completely trashed. I came across the complete dashboard but its gray. Would you paint it black so it could blend with the rest or leave it alone and little by little turn it into a gray interior? I am getting mixed signals about painting it, as with time the paint will start peeling or flaking.

I painted my 02 with SEM adhesion promoter and paint and it's been over a year with no problems, still looks great. I've heard it's a permanent solution and won't chip, just have to prep it good.

Prep & paint the dash with proper materials and technique.
Hell of a lot simpler, quicker and less costly than replacing everything else.

I remember sending and coating a Denali dash and interior over ten years ago and that truck still rolls around today with some minor scrapes. We smoothed all panels and did a 3 stage paint to it.

Paint it. Preparation and quality materials are the key points to adhere to. (see what I did there?)

I used SEM Color Coat to recolor a vinyl dash and some interior plastic. Supposedly, it's more of a spray dye than a paint. It's eally good stuff.

I have done it before. Hindsight 20/20, stay away from any gloss color or else you'll be kicking yourself later.
