I have had a car come out of nowhere at a 4-way stop a couple times in my 02, hiding behind the passenger a-pillar so it happens. Glad you’re ok Brett.

I can see the passenger side A pillar being more of a hindrance when stopped at a cross street. It's more to your right and in line to where you're looking.I have had a car come out of nowhere at a 4-way stop a couple times in my 02, hiding behind the passenger a-pillar so it happens. Agreed. I have never had a problem with that one.I can see the passenger side A pillar being more of a hindrance when stopped at a cross street. It's more to your right and in line to where you're looking.
The drivers A pillar is more in front of you and nowhere near where you look when looking for traffic coming from the left, unless you are driving like grandma with your head sitting on top of the steering wheel. I'm 6' and sit back in the seat when driving, not hunched over the wheel.

WTF: This person was flying...If they had wings they'd have been airborne. It wasn't luck, you were Blessed.
Did not even see him as he was right in my A -Piller blind spot when I looked left (after I was locating the bicyclist position, when I got to the stop sign)
also i thought I should mention I had a premonition moments before that i was "going to crash." that was my first thought as soon as I entered the SUV
Worst luck or just lucky?? View attachment 278035
there is too many factors i.e seat angle how far the suv is from the stop line to even come to that conclusion.. also from the video the guy was changing lanes from the middle lane...I can see the passenger side A pillar being more of a hindrance when stopped at a cross street. When I was a kid I was taught to look left, then right, then left again before crossing the street. I apply the same technique when driving. Lol
