wtf is the random plug in my dash?

yea **** those gauges thats y mine is all out of whack now i bought a stainless steel speedo gauge with red underglow and it screwd my speedo all up about 30 mph off now but i like the way it looks

the plug can be for a lot of things. mine has 3 wrapped foam. just figured it was for options i didnt have

that plug can be a sortment of things

Hatch button, wiper button, fog light switch, cargo light ect ect.. they only make one harness from the factory instead of 15harnesses with different options..

That is exactly what they are for.
