i was unaware that they integrated the filter into the tank after 04... i have the 04 and it has an external fuel filter

your sure the filter is w/ the pump

I had a problem similar to this one accept mine did it every time i tried to start it and it was the fuel pressure regulator, i replaced it and its been fine ever since so just another thing to check

Update on the tahoe. I finally got the problem solved. It was the evap purge valve. Now I'm back to normal.

I took to my mechanic and through a process of elimnation of disconnecting differrent fuel lines and refueling, it was determined that was the problem. I changed it,refueled it and it started with no problem.

I am having the same problem with my 2006 yukon xl. What fuel lines did you replace???If you find the answer please let me know and I will do the same for you. This problem is driving me crazy.
