Yet another hydroboost question

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I have a hydroboost swap question.

I found a 2005 suburban at the local junkyard and was wondering if the hydroboost system from that truck would be a viable swap?

I can see I need the brake pedal, booster, master cylinder and steering lines from the pump to the unit. I know there will be some pieces I need to modify. How many parts should I take off the 2005?

I read the DIY but wanted to ask anyway.

If you can, get the power steering pump also. I used original, but then you have to use t-fitting. No biggie, but if you can, and want to swap em, get it. Otherwise, from all I researched, the same.

Help!

ok, so I am instgalling the hydroboost and the new steering pump. I found mine has a sensor attached to the back of the pump... and the hose to hydro doesnt fit. I am afraid to bend it because it may break....any suggestions?

Hydroboost Installed!

Ok got everything in with a little bend here and there. No kinks or rubbing.

Got it all together, bled it and drove it briefly.

It doesn't quiet feel right. It stops adequately, but the pedals feels kind of spongy. I reused my 01 master cylinder and didn't open up any of the brake lines.

in the above forum thread they mention front and rear brake proportioning valves. Are these needed for my 01 with 4wd?


Any suggestions?
