Without the long story, I thought about selling my 2013 SS 1LE camaro last year. For those who aren’t familiar, the 13 -15 1LE came only with a LS3 coupled with a Tremec TR6060 6speed. Because I was considering selling it, I took everything off expect the ls7 z28 cold air intake and the ported TB (a buddy of mine ported and polished it)
So, the baseline on the car was 386 at the rear wheels, bone stock. On Saturday, I put it up on the same DynoJet, same air temps, and it put down 412hp at the rear wheels. Pretty damn impressive for a home ported tb and a cold air intake.
Now the Tahoe related question:
Anyone try a ported TB on the Tahoe? Worth doing it? Not interested in tune or anything other than maybe a CAI (I have an oiled K&N in it now). I still have bumper to bumper and plenty of the 5/60 PT warranty left. Just looking to slightly wake it up, mostly for quicker throttle response. Completely understand I won’t duplicate my 386 to 412hp bump ratio with just a tb and cai on the Tahoe. (And no thanks on gadgets that mess with drive by wire setups that claim to quicken throttle response).
Thank you
