I went from a 2021 Navigator to a 2024 Yukon Denali and hate how the door sounds when closing. I've always liked a good thunk noise, it gives a more luxury vibe than the slap noise I hear from this truck. I'm not sure where I would have to add padding, but I'm going to try and figure it out. For now I'm thinking the slap is coming from the corner plastic piece on the door (pic below or attached, first post so i'm not sure how it uploads). The door is a pic I found online. Eventually I'll add dynamat equivalent on the door aluminum shell as well, but the slap is external. Has anyone resolved the noise or is bothered by it?

I'm guessing that's exactly what's causing the noise. My weatherstripping on my driver's side rear door "flaps" a bit (compared to any other doors'), and I've been meaning to just stuff something behind it so that it doesn't flap.
