Eek, I didn't mean to start a SLT/SLE vs. Denali war .... :(

Or did I? :signs6:

-------------------------

I didn't ... I just wanted to provide an objective side by side comparison.

So be nice!

I cannot complain about my 09 Denali. We drove it from Utah to NJ and back and averaged around 18mpg cruising around 5 above the limit. With its 31 gallon tank I still had a 500+ range.

AWD is nice, wife was always confused before what to use with our Envoy Denali. 2WD/A4WD/4WD. She also has Raynard's Syndrome to go with her Lupus so the heated steering wheel is fantastic. 13-14 in the city isn't that bad also.

14mpg city is what I get with my 5.3L yukon. so there really is no difference. Denali is next on my list. ha

i get 16 .5 city and 19-21 hwy in my denali-- i love it, the engine, the power etc-- yes its more and gas mileage is only 1-3 mpg gallone difference-- but like the salesman told me when bargaining for only a few dollars a month on the payment--- " if ur worried about $3 a month, maybe youshouldnt be buying this vehicle-- - so true-- we dont buy these vehicles for their MPG-- we buy them bc they look good , easily modded, and haul a ton of stuff and are american made.

dont even get me started on resell value-- they pretty much all suck

AJ you must have 'feather foot' ... I'm lucky if I squeak by at 12mpg in the city.

The listed mpg for the denalis is 13, and mpg ratings are always a conservative estimate for most cars/trucks to help carmakers sell more vehicles. 12mpg in city driving is the norm for these trucks ... to get 16.5 it must be a city made of 50% highways. :)

I'm getting 11.9 in the Esky now that I live in Denver so it's half city half highway I suppose...
