These models dont have transmission computers. The transmission programming is handled by the engine's PCM.

Also need a different flex plate/converter and shorten your driveshaft. We should have had that trans stock.

4l80 and 4l60e use different yokes, but DS length can remain the same. We swap them all the time in the fbody world.

Out of curiosity is it possible to pull the front drive shaft without any issues? I'm pretty sure my front dif is starting to make noise and I had planned to pull the cv axles for sure but if I can just pull it all out and temporarily leave the transfer case that'd be awesome.

Yes you can on a selectable 4wd/2wd transfer case. On a fulltime AWD setup like the denalis and escalades have you cant, it wont drive properly.
