The GMC dealer I am talking to says the Yukon is worth $2500 more than the identical Tahoe. How is this possible.

I have a choice an 09 Yukon with 22,000 miles out the door for 29,900 or a '10 Tahoe with 16,000 miles out the door for 33,000.

Which would you take all things being equal?

Thanks for you input.

I found that they were pretty comparable pricewise

In the example you give, I'd go for the Tahoe. Year newer and prusumably more warranty? Assuming your gooed with either, rule of thumb is always buy the newest in your price range.

Yukons and Escalades take more quality control steps in the production process... plus I think they have better sound dampening, not sure though.

its all about trim levels-- ls , lt , or ltz, vs sl, slt or denali.
loaded vs loaded the denali wins every time.

It seems according to the prices that you are being quoted these are not loaded vehicles. With all due respect to LRDog ...... 1 year really does not make that much of a difference and the quality of a Yukon is superior to that of a Tahoe. Sit in and feel the leather seats of both and you'll notice just one of the more noticable differences.

GMC-Professional Grade. Although if they were both loaded I would probably go with the tahoe. Its a year newer and with less miles. But thats just me.

Which front end do you like better? That's all it came down to for me. I have Esky/Denali racks and running boards, so it really came down to the front end.

I prefer my wood grain over the Denali trim, too. It's all personal preference.

Yeah I would say personal preference at this point too. What are you getting it for? All street use or camping/offroading
