shipping is the killer on profit, you gotta get just the right sized box and hope the buyer lives close, shipping on fans can easily hit $50 and you have to price them competitive to even the make the sale.

@redhat9 - are these the part numbers you have for 700w motors? I think I saw them in a post by @swathdiver. I think I might wanna get new ones.

Those are the old part numbers, 15780796 has been superseded by 1580881, 15780795 has been superseded by 1580880.

I bought both from Amazon and they were the Bosch ones I posted a picture of. Been working great. I will still make a video at some point... been slacking working on getting the A/C system fixed up. Been warm here.



When these kick on the low speed, I don't notice any strange voltage drop or fluctuations. I can hear them a little louder than the OE fan. I did use a Tech2 to command on the high-speed and they sure do make some noise and move some air. Looked at the volt gauge and dead center in the middle. Perhaps it's the new motors operating correctly or like you had mentioned the RVC on my 2005 keeping things groovy.

It is regulated voltage control. The PCM regulates the alternator output... it's why sometimes you'll see less than 14 volts or over. When there's a high current demand the PCM has the alternator ramp up output to compensate.

There was some discussion/thinking around that a RVC equipped truck may handle the high demand from the 700w fan motors better than a non-RVC truck

Only the 05 and up have RVC. You can tell if you have it by looking on the negative battery cable, there will be a loop around it with a sensor connected to it

15-80880 and 15780795 are ACDelco and GM OE part numbers for the same item. Both numbers on the same box.
