It is regulated voltage control. The PCM regulates the alternator output... it's why sometimes you'll see less than 14 volts or over. When there's a high current demand the PCM has the alternator ramp up output to compensate.What is the RVC?
Only the 05 and up have RVC. You can tell if you have it by looking on the negative battery cable, there will be a loop around it with a sensor connected to itThank you. And only the 2005 and later vehicles have RVC? What is the tell-tale to look for for RVC being there or not?
15-80880 and 15780795 are ACDelco and GM OE part numbers for the same item. Both numbers on the same box.Those are the old part numbers, 15780796 has been superseded by 1580881, 15780795 has been superseded by 1580880.
