Got an email from Chevy this morning advising my Tahoe is due for an update and I need to bring it into the dealer to do this. Two q's:
1. I assumed this'd get pushed remotely and I can do it anywhere...why do I need to go to the dealer for this?
2. Anybody know what's in this update?

Thanks folks!

They disabled the OTA updates because of this issue (was killing batteries.). So, has to be done at dealer.

@WalleyeMikeIII appreciate the context on why no OTA at this time.

@apex944 details on the updates are in the App if you check your vehicle status. Looks like one is for the Serial Data Gateway (as Walleye shared above) and another is for Failed Brake Fluid Leak Detection.

I would suspect that if the Gateway update fixes the battery draining issue then OTA will be available again and we wouldn't need to bring in going forward (at least I hope that is the case). For my oil service and updates I'm being told to expect 2-3 hours from my dealer.
