Be thankful you even have a dipstick... many new vehicles only have electronic oil level indicators buried in the DIC....

What oil weight does the manual specify in Russia? I've heard some car makes sold in different regions get different oil specs despite having the exact same motor. What I'm getting at, is if GM states 0-30 in the Russian manual but 0-20 in the US manual, it's more evidence that 0-20 oil is specified here purely for MPG regulations. For example, if GM says 0-30 outside the US, I'm inclined to start using it myself instead of 0-20.Here in Russia, we seem to understand what the problem is with increased oil consumption. While several cars were identified, the necessary work was also carried out on me. Now we’ll watch, if everything works out, I’ll write a story about it here)
And yes, this is definitely not oil, because oil consumption goes to both 5-30 and 0-40 oils
In Russia we have absolutely the same type of oil as in the USA, we also follow them by filling in 0w20 oil. And in our manual we also have oil 0-20 noted. What oil weight does the manual specify in Russia?
