Air leveling system module location

Can anyone help point me in the right direction as to where the module is located in a 2014 yukon denali?

I have a feeling that mine is having issues because it very intermittently with run the compress and when it does run, it only runs for a second up to maybe 3 seconds. Thanks for any help

When does the compressor run for 3-5 seconds? On startup? If yes, that is the normal operation of the system.

The module is located on the under side of the truck behind the spare tire. It is rectangular in shape.

Feel the bladders on both rear shocks. Do they feel firm?

It rarely runs on startup anymore, I put my car trailer on the other day and it never ran, it just let the vehicle sag. I have owned this vehicle for 35000 miles and yes it is supposed to do a test run at startup but sadly 95 percent of the time it does not and if it does happen to, the run time is only a second or two..

Honestly I'd delete it and get springs and struts. Less headache

If you have a quality bi-directional scanner, you can easily troubleshoot the issue and find the root cause.

It's controlled by the electronic suspension control module and it's located above the spare tire on the driver's side.

Keep the factory suspension setup if you can - it's excellent and reliable. My guess is you have a failing compressor and at least one leaky air shock. New OEM shocks and compressor are available for a reasonable cost on rockauto.com. The Dorman compressor is also a good quality part - I have one on my '07 and it's been flawless.

Any new info? The symptoms your referring to go along with a leaking air bag. Soapy water in a squirt bottle will verify. Either diagnose and replace one or both or pull the fuse to the air compressor before it burns up from overheating.

Hey everyone I know it's been a year since this post but I'm having similar issues and can use some help.

I'll explain what I've done so far the best I can.

I have a 2011 Yukon Denali. Of course all-wheel drive 6.2 L. About a month ago I got new tires installed at Walmart and then the following week I noticed that the tires were rubbing the rear wheel well when I would corner on the road or on a banking on ramp. I noticed that there was the original shocks that were blown out and had holes in them. And the compressor had quit working probably because it had overworked trying to keep up.

I ordered a kit from LKQ A1 Auto that had good ratings which had the two air ride shocks and compressor. I installed them accordingly fired it up and it kicked on and auto level. Everything seemed okay. Two weeks into it I went to go drive again and it was bottomed out. The compressor would not kick on.

I checked fuses 2 58 and 54, and the relay which is next to the fuse box and everything seemed to be okay as far as their function. The compressor does kick on when I bypass the relay from pin 30 to 87. But the bags do not fill. I checked the airlines for obstructions and I do get air coming out of the tubes but nothing inside the airbag shocks. I am sure that the sensors on the shocks have some sort of mechanism that allows the air in or out accordingly. I replaced the relay just in case and the fuses and to no avail it still hasn't worked. I checked the control module underneath the spare tire and everything seems to be connected correctly however I don't know where to look or diagnose if the control module has failed or if I'm missing something else. I see no brakes in the wire harness or any of the connectors.

1) Rear tires rubbing on shocks or wheel liner means there’s an issue with an incorrect tire size, rim offset or both.

2) By installing aftermarket struts specifically NOT made for integration into the AutoRide, Stabilatrac and ABS, you will have chronic, ever changing issues.

Please share the kit details if you can. That would help us. These rear suspensions are designed with springs that will support the normal, unloaded weight of the vehicle without sagging. They're a softer spring than those without air ride, but they will still do the job without air assist. If it's bottomed out, I suspect there is something else wrong. Perhaps the springs are shot or were replaced with the wrong ones at some point. Or perhaps your ride height sensors are bad. Do you have a Tech 2 or equivalent to be able to get live readings from the suspension controller?
