First time poster and first time buying Chevy/GMC vehicles. Test drove both 6.2 and 5.3 engines on Chevy Tahoe.

With that being said, I want to buy a Tahoe with
  • Magnetic ride control
  • Adaptive air ride
  • Rear seat media system
  • Hill descent control
  • Autotrac® 2-speed transfer case
But these options only exist in Z71(as z71 offroad package) and not even with RST, (unless i add more packages, but the prices comes to $85K), If I let go supercruise and add all the most of options I need from premier(Except advanced security package) the z71 comes to $81K. This is in my budget.

If I buy the Z71 and replace the all-terrain tires with something like DEFENDER LTX M/S2 tires, would the ride quality be any different compared to the Premier?

z71 comes with 20 inch AT tires, so is it worth replacing them to DEFENDER LTX tires to enjoy nice ride or not worth the cost? I can let AT tires wear out and replace to non AT tires

Sunny and Snowy Minnesota
The Goodyears on the offroad trims (Z71 and AT4) are known to wear fast...pretty soft rubber...make sense for offroading...know a guy w/ a Z71, got 30k out of the stock tires.

I have a 22 Z71 with the 5.3. It rides better than my 18LTZ ever did. I put a Thornton performance chip on it to help with mileage on the highway otherwise she is very thirsty and when I use the other end of the tune it will light the tires up for a good 50 ft on dry pavement with the Michelin defenders.

I have the suburban instead of the Tahoe and it’s a dream to drive
