Suburban running to cool after installing new radiator

So I installed my aftermarket radiator and **** my vehicle wouldn't get hot anymore maybe 100 to 160 so someone mentioned the return on the top of the radiator to the coolant bottle needs to have some kind of restriction so I believe they used a hose clamp and pinched the line or something to that nature but what I did was break that piece off the old radiator and insert it into the line and now my temperature is back to normal of course i grinded it down so that it would fit in the hose but you get the ideal it's big on one side but a pin hole on the other1000002532.jpg

So essentially it needs to stay in the radiator longer?.?. And you didn’t change the thermostat im assuming. Very interesting
