    posi-trac That's when both of your tires spin when you hit the gas. I leave two tire marks when i burn out. On a limited slip diff only one tire will spin. Usually. My brothers dodge leaves one black mark when he burns out.

    Why not find a complete used diffy with moderate mileage?? Costs you under a grand installed. Thats what i would do. Just my 5cents though. Hope you found a solution.

    I ran into the exact same problem. I work at a parts store and when I purchased mine I made sure I had the right differental. Because those do made a difference on rotor sizes. I checked the code in the glovebox. Went with the correct rotor, which was the smaller one. Got home took it off, would...

    Oh really?? Use a bottle of Trans-X. That stuff works wonders. I put in a bottle when i did my solenoids. Sounds like it just needs a basic trans flush and filter change. I believe there is a control solenoid also. I should have done that one on mine but completely forgot.

    2000 nbs 256,500 mi...I always use 5Qts Castrol 5w-30 synthetic and a Qt of Lucas. I use wix or k&n oil filters. She still runs like a dream. I Take her to Dallas every couple of months. around 800miles round trip. She uses about half a Qt every 5000miles only because of a small oil pan leak...

    Leak in rear axle??

    easy fix diff cover gasket is bad. possibly someone used a jack to raise it and damaged the gasket, possibly even the cover. 30 mins fix on gasket change. 10 dollar gasket at advance. you have a nice mechanic!

    Mileage

    2000 Tahoe 5.3l --- 247k lots of highway. 248k by this weekend. I'll be heading to Dallas. Hoe's still a beast when I need her to be. :shocked:
