Well I got it back and it shifts a little firmer than stock. I was expecting it to shift harder. Other thing I noticed is it seems as if the converter is now locking up in third gear then shifts to 4th. I am guessing it locks up sooner now that the valve body had the tcc fix. I am going to call...
ill most likely go with a BB tune, just hope it doesn't shift too hard after it's done. It's getting shift kit, servo and boost valve. The guy said it will be a nice quick and firm shift
Finally after about 10k of lock up slipping and sloppy shifts, we dropped of our Tahoe for a transmission overhaul. It had the issue with the tcc from the valve body being worn (only 119k on it) can wait to get it back already. Next on the list is deleting DOD new cam package and a tune
I did it on my 07. Cut muffler out and left resonator on. I think it sounds pretty good at WOT but sounds like our boat at idle 4 cylinder mode is super annoying! So if around town I'll drop it in 3rd. I'll try and get a sound clip
This ^
I scored new rear shocks and compressor for 400 online so that's taken care of. Now onto the front which are blown and ride horrible!
I am going with the rancho quick lift struts and do the resistor in the connector
I'm sure the trans shops are using this sonnax kit for the job http://www.sonnax.com/parts/2458-tcc-regulator-isolator-valve-kit
It's weird that I don't have any engine light yet
I am also worried that after the fix my 3-4 clutch is going to be bad, just because sometimes when driving in 3rd...
Mine once in od at a low speed with light throttle it will go in and out of od. anything under 60mph also once hot it has some shutter with wot. I've been driving in 3rd for now until I can get it looked at

Has anyone ran into this problem with the worn out valve bore? Cost to fix and was trans fine after? I've gotten a few quotes from 300-600$ it's been acting up for about 5k miles but is more noticable now with the exhaust on the truck. Edit: truck is a 07 Tahoe 4x4 if that matters just turned 116k
I think I've been dealing with the same surge, it went awhile for a little after I had that trans filter change but is back now. Seems like anything above 45 with steady speed the rpm's go up and down a few hundred
Ours is the same with 113k now.
I found some info on the steering angle sensor, I haven't been able to look at it on our's yet. Not sure if it goes bad if it will throw a code or just affect steering
Well just got done it took 5 hours with a buddy, 45 of which we couldn't find a bolt for the motor mount to engine. We had to drop the differential no way of getting the top bolts to the engine mount. It took 30 minutes to line up the holes for the mount, we should have mounted the mount to the...
Came looking just for this, I did not want to drop the front differential. Just got my mount in the mail this morning hopefully I'll be able to tackle this Thursday before a trip up to the lake with the boat. It gets annoying pulling from the line super slow with a 5,000lb boat
I had the same deal with mine thought the bottom end was letting go. I hit the converter with a mallet and it rattled like crazy. Here in CA it cost 275 per side
