Has anyone ran into this problem with the worn out valve bore? Cost to fix and was trans fine after? I've gotten a few quotes from 300-600$ it's been acting up for about 5k miles but is more noticable now with the exhaust on the truck. Edit: truck is a 07 Tahoe 4x4 if that matters just turned 116k

When my 4L65E trans gave out in november last year at 83,000 miles. We thought replacing a stuck valve body assembly might fix the issue. I think the part was somewhere in the ballpark of 300ish bucks. We tried and it didn't solve the problem. Unfortunately my trans had to be rebuilt altogether.

I'm sure the trans shops are using this sonnax kit for the job http://www.sonnax.com/parts/2458-tcc-regulator-isolator-valve-kit

It's weird that I don't have any engine light yet
I am also worried that after the fix my 3-4 clutch is going to be bad, just because sometimes when driving in 3rd when it hits the rpm's go up and down a few hundred. almost feels like slip but if you punch it, it holds and pulls fine
