Finally after about 10k of lock up slipping and sloppy shifts, we dropped of our Tahoe for a transmission overhaul. It had the issue with the tcc from the valve body being worn (only 119k on it) can wait to get it back already. Next on the list is deleting DOD new cam package and a tune

Nice! I feel like I'm going to be doing a trans rebuild soon too. Mine has made it to 125K with no torque management on the tune.

A DOD delete and new cam is the way to go. Once you have the transmission to support the extra power it'll be great. Make sure you get a good tune on it though.

ill most likely go with a BB tune, just hope it doesn't shift too hard after it's done. It's getting shift kit, servo and boost valve. The guy said it will be a nice quick and firm shift

Thats good man! I have the 2nd and 4th gear servos in mine with a pretty aggressive tune and 4.10 gears. It would chirp the stock tires at WOT shifting into 2nd before I got the Duratracs. Regular driving around town isn't bad at all though. You can have the tune setup to shift easy under a certain RPM too.

Well I got it back and it shifts a little firmer than stock. I was expecting it to shift harder. Other thing I noticed is it seems as if the converter is now locking up in third gear then shifts to 4th. I am guessing it locks up sooner now that the valve body had the tcc fix. I am going to call the builder tomorrow and see what he says.
