I did a search and found a similar problem as mine but there were no responses. Recently I noticed that when the cruise is on it feels like there is a slight miss. Could this be a sign of the cruise fixing to quit or is there something I can check/clean or whatever? It seems to be worse when...
So I took the wife's 03 Yukon Xl to a shop yesterday to have the transmission (and while it was in the air) and oil/filter changed. Today my wife calls and says the truck would not go over 30 and displayed the message: reduced engine power and the traction light and check engine light are on...
Not sure if this is the right place, so feel free Mods to move.
My cousin has a 2003 Chevy truck. 4x4. He is having some issues with different things that I assume are all in the steering column. Many times he can put the key in, turn the ignition and the truck won't start. Everything...
OK, we've studied on adding an aux cable to my stock radio. As I said it's the Bose CD/cassette and it also has the rear DVD player. We cannot get this to work. We even tried to hook it to the cassette player and nothing. My buddy is really good at doing stuff like this and we have read all we...
Not sure if this will help, but it's worth a look. I think there is a switch also that tells the wiper that the hatch is open and keeps it from working. I haven't located a wiring diagram yet.

The oil pressure went to 80 and stayed. Occasionally it would fall when accelerating. I've never had a stepper motor problem so I can't describe that problem, but I assume it would just quit working all together.

There is a link is post #3 (i think) to a PDF form that shows you all about the Castech heads and where the cracks normally occur. I thought my 00 Silverado had this problem too, but I had the heads checked and they were fine. They were the Castech brand. I had them pressure checked and cleaned...
Just did this yesterday (on my 03) with the help from a friend who has skills in this stuff. lol . I assume you have skills to work on circuit boards and soldering on them, so....remove the unit from the dash. It has two bolts and then 4 clips. unplug the harnesses(2) and then the box has a...
There is not a time limit or mileage limit set. Replace them if they need replacing. The knock sensors are under the intake and some people replace them while they are there, but I didn't. Also, if you for some reason have to remove the heads then I would get the kit and replace all the gaskets...
Thanks for the reply Yukonxl. I guess i should have stated in the OP, but I replaced the intake gaskets about 3 weeks ago. The sending unit started today. Wouldn't you know it? lol! I replaced the one on my 00 Silverado a couple years ago and yes it was a PIA for a big handed feller like me...
So the wife comes home today and said there was a problem with the Yukon. Message said "low oil pressure". Said the gauge would read pegged at 80 until she started driving and then the needle would move to 0 as she sped up causing the message. OK. Sure enough when you start it the needle pegs...
Be very careful. Those wires will break easily. Broke one on my Silverado and had to re wire it. Just take your time. Once you figure out the first one, the rest are easy.
