Sounds like it is grounding out somewhere. If you cannot get it fixed now maybe the fuse can be pulled to kill it. Knowing GM they may have mixed in the onstar with other essential systems though.
Parts just came in so I plan on installing them tomorrow and having it programmed Friday. Yeah, it looks like a simple install. Just a few connectors and plugging it into the BCM. Instructions are real clear. Too bad we just cannot order a sensor since if you order both they both come with...
You can change the ECM all you want since the code is not part of it. Modify the ECM and the code is modified.
The MMA is also 36 years old. The dealer would laugh you out of the building if you mentioned that (I'm sure someone mentioned it before).
There was a TSB out about GM checking the tune that is loaded versus what is history. The link is below. No matter what you do you won't be able to get the numbers to match if the tune has been changed.
GM doesn't have to prove anything also. It will be up to you to prove that the tune...
I believe it. GM sets up their tune as conservative, enough to survive 5 years or 100k miles in all normal driving situations with all drivers. They also have to deal with emission laws. A tune can expand on certain areas while sacrificing the other areas somewhat. An engine tune pretty much...
What is real stupid is that the people commiting these acts are causing their own insurance rates to go up since ins companies determine everyone to be a higher risk.
I heard on the Envoy forum that you can tune it to make it stay on more but a tune cancels your powertrain warranty. Of course my Yukon Denali it doesn't have that feature. I guess if you drive it like a hybrid max mpg owner than you can get decent gas mileage with it. Pulling a 3 ton brick...
Where do they plug in to? What panel do you have to remove if any? So the tilt sensor will just plug into the shock sensor's harness? It sounds like a dealer would charge about $300 for items that are just plug in. We are taking a big trip from Utah to NY/NJ/PA/VA this summer.
Thank you...
When I had my Envoy Denali a few people on Trailvoy deactivated their system so it will run in V8 only. Gas mileage in the city was about the same. Highway mileage dropped 1/2 mpg.
I get about 18-19 on the highway with my 09 Yukon XL Denali AWD at around 75 mph. These vehicles are not that good on gas if you compare it to other vehicles but compared to vehicles that can also carry 7 people it is pretty close.
I have V8-V4 mode on my Impala and it stays in V8 mode...
I'm looking at getting the GM tilt sensor for my 09 Yukon XL Denali. http://www.gmaccessorieszone.com/GMC/2011/Yukon%20XL/Wheel%20Theft%20Deterrent%20System/?tx_gmshopb2b_pi1%5Btype%5D=gm
It should have come as a standard feature already IMO. It looks like it has a MSRP of $150. Does...
Don't give your credit card info to them. I did once and only used that CC for XM and bingo, fraud on it about a month or two later. They will also send a collection agency after you for a couple dollars. I'm personally going to dump them as their same old music is getting rather boring and...
My 07 Impala SS (and it seems like a bunch other Impalas) have probelms with the ISS or intermediate steering shaft. Does it make noise when you just move the steering wheel while sitting still?
I hate dealers like that. Young Chevrolet in Layton is one dealer I had problems with before. A/C in Trailblazer was not working (3 years old). Warranty didn't cover it since they said it was "normal servicing". A week later, no A/C again. They then had me drop it off at 8am for them to...
Consider changing your brand of fuel. My base's gas station uses low rated gas from off base (truck stop company). You can bet the first tank of gas was the cheapest gas the dealer could find, probably lowest octane rating also.
Oil pressure sounds normal. I have three GM cars, one 5.3 and two with a 6.2 and all do the same.
Idle does sound off somewhat. My Denali's engine is smooth as can be. The Vette's has a lumpy idle somewhat.
What kind of gas are you using. If you are going with a low name brand then...
I consistantly get over 500 miles per tank of gas on the highway cruising at 75 mph. But I have an XL and it has a 31 gallon tank.
Someone could probably lean the crap out of the mixture by a tune and get better gas mileage but fuel also lubes the engine. High altitudes would probably screw...
People like this pisses me off. They were probably sold on the black market. Wheel locks at least make them think for a second but those are easily defeatable. The inclination sensor is a good idea. At least it will scare the crap out of them.
