I believe you have a posi rear end. I have found it works fine if you slowly roll on the gas you can feel the rear begin to spin and then feel the fronts come on. You then walk out. That has been my experience.
I have one on 11 Denali. It runs better and added about 3/4 to 1 mile per gallon. Shifting is improved for whatever reason. I had one on an 08 yukonxl SLT 6.0 and it really made a big difference.

That wire is for acc lighting in the trailer and to charge the trailer battery.Connect the wire to the underhood fuse box post at the front of the fuse box on the right side I believe. It is the post with no wire on it and if you look in the owners manual it will say it is a 40amp fuse
