    Heater issue

Does the temp gauge go to about the 210 mark? Mine wasn't, so I pulled the tubes off both sides of the heater core and blasted with a hose on both sides for a couple minutes. Makes a mess, but it's quick and fixed mine!

    Couple questions

Yes the little black domes are the sensors for the lights. If your driving and then it becomes dark sometimes it takes a little while for it to sense it. If it's dark when you start it and the don't come on I'm not sure what would cause your lights to stay off when it's dark enough. As for the...

    Intermittent sound from speakers...help please!

It appears as though you do need to wire in the pink wire from the smaller harness. I spliced that wire with the remote wire from my head unit to the aftermarket harness. All is well in music land now!

    Input on speakers

It really depends on your budget. I just bought some kickers for the front and rear doors and they sound pretty good to me. A lot of people I've noticed like using Rockford Fosgates prime speakers, which are also fairly inexpensive. All 4 doors will use 6.5" speakers, but some managed 6.75"...

2002 Yukon Radio install Factory Amp

Did you just cut the pink wire and splice it with the aftermarket harness or did you have an aftermarket harness that plugged into the smaller flat harness? I'm having the same problem right now.

    Intermittent sound from speakers...help please!

I installed an aftermarket head unit last week and everything was fine, I had sound from speakers. Tonight I plugged in pre out wires and a remote amp wire, and ran them to the back (currently not plugged into anything). After that I had no audio. I shut the yukon off, started it again and had...

Looking for the right radio harness.

GM part #15734687. This is a blank cover that will fit in place of the onstar buttons. Just run a Google search to figure out where you want to get them from.

Looking for the right radio harness.

You don't have to splice the pink wire. When you wire up your HU harness to the aftermarket harness, just make sure you connect the blue remote wire. There is nothing you need to do with the small flat factory harness (which has the pink wire in it). Your blue remote wire will line up with an...

    10/3/2014 - 2002 Yukon 1500 – Rear Woofer Replacement – Simple Solution.

Looks great, and a great idea! I'm curious as to how well this sounds with the factory amp. Please post an update and let us know. I'm going to be installing my subs this weekend, but I'm still undecided if I'm going to do anything with the factory sub.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Will be registering mine on Monday, but I bought 2 pairs of 6.5" kickers for the doors today. Those should sound good with my new pioneer deck I got last week. I'll be putting it all in sometime later in the week. It's gonna be a loud system by the time I'm done installing my subs!

    Factory amp & aftermarket stereo

Would it be better to run a bypass to the output harness side of the amp or just run new wires to the doors?

    Factory amp & aftermarket stereo

I only have a remote amp wire. From the head unit harness I have yellow battery constant, red 12v+, black ground, blue remote turn on, orange illumination (going to be unused) and the violet, green, gray and white speaker wires. This is why I asked if I could use the Orange illumination wire...

    Factory amp & aftermarket stereo

The other question I had is since I'm using the remote wire for the factory amp, can I use the Orange illumination wire for a remote wire for my subs amp? Will it do the same as the blue wire?

    Factory amp & aftermarket stereo

01 Yukon SLT non bose, factory sub. I don't care about the onstar, I plan on replacing that with a delete panel to make room for some switches. I've installed my own stereos in my cars for the last 12 years, but I've never had to hook up one in an SUV. Last time I installed a deck in a car with...

    Factory amp & aftermarket stereo

OK I get what your saying but I've read in several other threads that the pink wire from the flat 9 pin harness needs to be spliced with the remote wire. Are you saying the main factory harness is the one with the amp signal?

    Factory amp & aftermarket stereo

After many hours searching the forums I understand the pink wire from the secondary harness needs to be attached to the blue remote turn on wire. My question is how has anyone done this without cutting/damaging the stock harness? I want to be able to put the stock stereo back in if need be. Thanks!

Dash Noise Getting Louder w/ Speed - Help

My wife's 02 Tahoe does the same thing. I found it to be something behind the panel in front of my left knee when driving. I don't know what it is, but pushing hard on that panel when it's being noisy makes it stop. Maybe give that a try to at least narrow down your options a little more.
