If it aint broke, dont fix it. right?

Make sure you get the right belt too. Couple different ones for our trucks depending on your alternator setup. Autozone sold me the wrong belt (too big) the first time.

    Post Your OBS Snow Pictures!

In wisconsin we've got that much snow before. After this recent storm, I had to pull the truck into the heated garage to get the snow off because in southern WI we had rain/snow mix and it was all frozen to the truck. I kind of like driving in the snow, but otherwise it's a PITA.:) I'd rather go...

    Letting Your Vehicle Warm Up

Your buddy is right, unless it's below zero, there is really no need to warm up a vehicle anymore. With todays tighter tolerances, better oils, and computer engine management, warming it up is really only good for creature comforts. With that being said if it is below zero then a couple...

    how many miles

99' Tahoe, 129,500 miles, running strong. Second owner, purchased 3 years ago with 92,000 on it. Only things it's needed has been regular oil changes, a waterpump, alternator, brakes, tires, and u-joints. It's been a great truck and I would not hesistate to drive it across the country.:)

    Need Tire Help

I have the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2 on my truck and they are very impressive. They dig pretty hard through the snow, I was able to keep it in 2wd and keep the truck at highway speed through 4" of snow this past winter. IMO the best bang for the buck.

    Help asap - disaster!!!

Lisle tools makes an extractor exactly for this purpose. Basically it looks like a big EZ out. Hammer it in through the hole, put a wrench on the end an unscrew. Then install a new heater hose coupler, snap in your heater hose, and top off the coolant.:) Check out the tool at www.lislecorp.com

    Need some info... Please advise!

You have to unbolt the door module, but first make sure your window is rolled down all the way. The door module is held in with about a dozen or so 7mm hex head bolts. You'll also need to remove the larger 10mm nut that holds the glass channel in place. Once all unbolted CAREFULLY tilt and...

I'd like to remove the aluminum arch mouldings. Seems to be the only way to remove them is to drill out the screws, because they will not move. Anybody have any other suggestions?

    Stock Head Unit question

Thought about that, but those small incandescent bulbs that the radios take only cost a couple bucks for 10 to 20 of them, that's why I just want to replace them. I just figured maybe somebody here has done it and knows the sizes. If not, I'll just find out the size when I remove the HU.:)

    Stock Head Unit question

I need to do this on mine too. Does anybody know the type and size of bulbs, before I take the HU out? I don't want an aftermarket unit, and I'm pretty good with a soldering iron.:)

Not a bad price, but I prefer the fit and finish of actual GM unit better. Once you've used a few aftermarket pieces, you'll see what I mean.:)
