Well I have a question before I drop my truck off at the shop. When ever I'm in drive and I pull off kind of fast. I hear a clanking noise coming from the rear. The only time I hear it is when I'm pulling of and sometimes when I'm turning. It sounds like two metal plates clanking together. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought I would ask before I go to the shop.

The last time I went to the oil change place and they showed me the diff oil and it didn't look dirty. Thanks. I might change it for the heck of it. I hope that is all that it is.

I was scared that it was the trans or something. Lol. I'm still gonna go see what the shop says

Lead Springs is a definite...high speeds and turning are all forms of shift of weight. If it were your rear end, there would be more clanks at slow speeds and turns...meaning, your whole rear differential is shot...Look for rust or forms of dirt coming off the leaf springs onto your wheels...with a clank there is crank

Thanks guys. I'm gonna check into all of the possibilities. Then take it to the shop on my day off from work. Oh also I hear some weird noise back there if I'm in drive and I let off the brake and just let roll. The diff fluid didn't look bad when I checked it. I'm gonna change it though
