The wheels are factory wheels. They even have Cadillac center caps. The steering feels tight and stable for now. It's had a new front diff installed and is on its 4th fuel pump according to previous owner. I just put a reman alternator on last weekend. Washing was
fun. Clay bar, cleaner wax...
I bought it for 8 grand. Blue book for it is like 9 mabey 10. The tranny is on its last leg however. So I think I got an okay deal but nothing to brag about. When the tranny let's go I'll put another 6l80 in it right in my driveway lol.
I just bought this truck. 247000 miles. Bone stock. Completely unmolested. Just washed and waxed it. Thought the hood turned out pretty good. Not bad for 10 years old and a quarter million miles eh?I've read on this forum a while now but finally have something to tinker with and do some things...
I agree with most of what the above said. But I'd start with 800 then 1000 then 1500 then 2000 then 2500. Use a a detailing spray as lubricant. Or buy the 15 dollar kit from Walmart which has sand paper that attaches to your drill and comes with a compound to use as a lubricant and decent...
My escalade has the well documented peeling faded trim on the sides and bottom of the windows. What do you guys think of painting them matte black? They are originally piano glossy black which is why I'm even asking. I was thinking it may look weird considering the black trim around the mirrors...
I should mention...the thing runs light a raped ape at full throttle. It pulls light a freight train. I see other guys posting about these error messages and hard shifting but there is no performance issues with mine .

Just like the title says my truck has the cam position sensor code and check engine light on and displays the stabilitrac and Tc lights. My tranny has been shifting and clunking very hard especially on 1-2 shift up and down. When the error lights are on It also...
What do u mean you fixed it with those check balls ? You pulled the valve body out and replaced them?my escalade is doing similar things you speak of.

If you read around there are a lot of posts that have to deal with service stability trac control. And the tricky part is that light can be triggered by a ton of things including minor things that aren't even worth addressing to major issues with higher mileage trucks who may stall after long...
The z55 code means you have the autoride suspension. The front struts are nothing special but you have auto load leveling in the rear. You might call it an electronic suspension but it's not the magnetic suspension. That came on 2009 and up trucks. But the struts you want are made by Delphi. Or...
I would love to ditch my cats for some straight tubing, but I believe I have pre and post cat 02 sensors. I would have to get a programmer wouldn't i if I were to delete the cats?

I considered the cats too... I know my fuel pump is new so that is probably last on the list to replace again. I live in a place without emissions testing so I may go get some exhaust tubing from the parts store and clamp them in place of the cats. I'm still going to do the knock sensors but...
Well that's why I mentioned the Delco sensors. Are they not oem? The other option was the autozone duralast sensors which are like 50 bucks each but why not do it right, right? I will check out the web for sealing the sensors with silicon and other tips as you suggest. Thanks for the tip

P0332- knock sensor. Holy cow the Delco sensors are 70 dollars a piece and I need two, plus the intake manifold gasket is 75 bucks. Didn't expect to be spending 230 bucks to fix this but I hope it makes the truck accelerate like normal. It feels like it's got a v6 in it now. Especially on hot...
I don't know what the code is. I guess I'll go go auto zone and get it read. I haven't checked the throttle body, or maf, but fuel pump and filter are new.
I've been reading up and I was thinking a bad knock sensor may need to be changed. A knock sensor pulls timing out if it's faulty or...
2002 Yukon
313000 miles
Brand new plugs, wires last week
Tried 91 octane fuel and no change
Tried seafoam no change
Check engine light on
Check engine light will stay off if I unplug battery, and stay under 50mph(ish)- usually turns back on if I get on the freeway
Hey guys my truck listed...
Try throwing it in reverse when clutch won't let it reengage. Similar to restarting car, just gives it a jolt and reengages mine
