at high speeds the steering is still loose(lots of play)to the right also the steering wheel does not want to come back straight on its own when u let the wheel go. A friend of mine works at a tire/alignment shop so im gonna take it there tomorrow and see if he can find anything loose in the...
Ok i found the wires and spliced them back together. The steering feels a lil better it is still loose but is not as sensitive and is more predictable than before. should i put the new sensor in? or could the loose steering still be from something else? about 5k miles ago the idler and pitman...
I ordered a replacement steering sensor and went to put it in today, followed the wires to the connector to find out they have been cut about 2 inches after the connector...what do i do now? I do not see any loose or dangling wires under there. anyone go any ideas?
I just got my 99 denali less than a week ago and when i first got it the temp was between 100 and the quarter mark, so i figured the t-stat was stuck open. I replaced the t-stat with a 195 deg one, but now the will creep up to just under 210 then come right down to the quarter mark and stays...
both front door pin switches were missing, i replaced the drive side and now the radio goes off when i open the driver door. the interior lights still do not come on when the door is opened. is the override button connected with the headlight switch? cuz there is no plug plugged into that part...
ya i tried messing with the override and dimmer switch and no luck. if i push the dimmer all the way up it turns on the interior lights but only go off if i roll it back down. I checked fuses and they all looked good. yep music just keeps playin until I hit the power button but clock still stays on.
I have the bose factory radio and when i turn the key off open the door and get out the radio stays on, even if i lock the doors with the remote. not sure how long it stays on cuz i go out to it after a few hrs and the radio is off. it does not kill the battery. Also the interior lights do not...
I checked the steering as u said and with the key is on acc there is a small amount of play but minimal compared to when the engine is running. so it is probably the steering sensor rite? I went to autozone and ordered one for $40 and will be here on tuesday.
one other thing i forgot is that the truck runs just a little over 100 deg. I have heard this can make you car get bad gas mileage. thermostat is stuck open correct? what degree thermostat should i get? I am going to be towing a 14 ft trailer in Colorado, if that makes a difference.

I just pick up a 99 Gmc yukon denali with only 76k on it. the steering is very loose to the right side, takes about 1/16-1/8 turn of the wheel for it to catch. both the pitman arm and idler arms were replaced a 71k, and previous owner said it got better after those were replaced but is still...
