    I have a 2005 Yukon 5.3 and had the same issue but I had some lifter noise also. Ended up replacing the oil pump and fixed the issues. 292k miles and still going.

    About 1,000 miles since the work and still no lifter noise. It’s been 20* some mornings and it makes no noise at all. Can’t say enough about the HPOP work he did. If you have any lifter tick I highly recommend doing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Well I finally found the fix to my lifter noise. It got progressively worse and I remembered someone on here saying try a new oil pump. So that’s what I did and there has not been any lifter noise in the last two weeks amd it has been cold, for NC anyway. I am very happy with the results...
