    You had the key off and out of ignition, or even in it, and it still makes the noise? Yea, like @Doubeleive said, something is still powered up and making that noise. I think it is an actuator, too.

    Not the rust belt in this area but I have no idea where it spent it's whole life. Did not even have surface rust in that area. Had about 160k miles and do not know if the calipers brackets had ever been off. I would assume, at that mileage, that pads had at least been done before.

    Old plugs were likely fouled. Can cause a misfire, even if oil is not getting back in. Compression test, dry and wet, is needed.

    I was recently looking for a Silverado, 2000-2006. I want to see a page of 2000 to 2006 Silverado's. On FB Marketplace, there is so many sub divisions, I was having to look thru 6 different sections. Eff that.
