FYI those rarely go out, they’re a computer. More common is the ground wire being corroded on the compressor. It’s separate, it kind of branches off the wiring harness to a ring terminal on the frame. That was my problem after I installed a new compressor. The ring terminal wasn’t connected to...
The transfer case is always removed first, then the transmission. I found it harder to remove the transfer case due to the fact I pretty much had to do it with my arms- the trans jack wouldn’t work for it because there’s a crossmember in the way and it needs to be rotated as it comes down. That...
At ride height like in that pic I can turn the steering wheel exactly 180*, so in other words upside down. I can make most turns on major streets like that, like left turns onto a 4 lane road since I have to go a bit wide, which is what everybody else does anyway instead of turning into the...
Washed it inside and outside. Love the smell of Chemical Guys leather conditioner. Nothing has broken over the winter, just had one of the front billets develop a slight leak at the bead so I had my tire shop fix that but now I notice that TPMS sensor reads high. Sigh. I think they got bead...
Buffed out the rear bumper where that douche backed into me. I can’t really see it anymore, there is a small rub that may or may not have already been there. Also washed both trucks today, it’s sunny and warm outside.
I looked at those quite awhile back. It’s fairly expensive considering you need to buy the system and then pay for the resin also. I think it was about $.30 a gallon iirc?
Nope I see it went up. They’re running a $30 off sale right now though for the 3 year(coupon code WINTER3YR) which would be $100, so that’s about 2.75 per month. For a single year it’s $10 off if you use WINTER1YR. Even at full price it’s well worth it.
If you have the in-radiator trans cooler make 100% sure of your radiator’s age since you just replaced that trans. It’s not super common for those to leak inside the radiator which results in coolant getting mixed in with your trans fluid which will destroy your new trans quickly but it is known...
The cassette adapter is, I believe. Not sure about the aux port, I think you need to do some research. Try Google search. Or maybe someone else who has it will chime in. I know I've seen it discussed here.
There's unused connectors all over these vehicles so GM doesn't have to make a hundred different harnesses depending on options. If everything is working, I wouldn't worry about it. Otherwise all the other unused connectors are gonna drive you nuts every time you work on your vehicle.
