The 09 that i wish id never got but now own opinions please

So…you bought a blown up 6.2 with no title from someone who still had a lien against it? I’d be careful with that…I’m willing to bet it’s in repo status, which technically means you now own a “stolen” truck, as it actually belongs to the bank.

That's what I'm wondering as well, but the guy I bought it from said he had it on his wife's 08 5.3L tahoe...

After going back and forth with Richard from Atomic Fab about a dozen times, we landed on doing an X13 shock instead of an X19. I corrected my earlier post to reflect that. Here's why: "Generally for handling and stock-type driving, you want a shock that is around 40% compressed at ride height...

    07/08 vs 09-14 Corsa catback

So, after exchanging emails with Corsa a few more times, apparently the ONLY difference between the 07/08 and 09-14 exhausts is the head-pipe. I then asked for a measurement on the muffler in both kits, and they answered 28.72 inches. Mine is 33.5" I'm really starting to think I may just have...

    TIL: In 2009 you could get a 6.2L LTZ! Were the 6.2's a 4L or a 6L80? I can't seem to find that answer.

Little before work mod-session. Snagged a Corsa intake from American Trucks for half price because it was “scuffed”. I can’t find a single scuff on this thing. The factory air box tray comes out and the Corsa tray mounts directly to the body, which is a nice touch. My only complain is that...

I'll probably buy a set of Tony's just to see what they're all about. I like the idea of spherical bushings vs static bushings. I need my damn shocks/coils to get here so that I can get on with dropping the rear down. I've left it sitting on the bump stops intentionally so as not to blow out...

After some conversation with @iamdub , he asked me to post these photos here to show that there IS an alternative for 2007-2014 Tahoe / Escalade / Yukon / Suburban rear sway bar links. This is part of the Trekline 5” rear drop kit:

Nooooooooope. My trekline kit came with offset links and all. But I like the heim joints in these.

So, I'm one of the lucky few who had a fully functioning air setup. There's a MAJOR dip in the offramp to get to my house, probably 4-5" deep and about 4-foot from front to rear. With the factory suspension I could hit it at 80 and all you felt was a slight bump. Without the air stuff, you...

    07/08 vs 09-14 Corsa catback

The ole Harbor Freight "I FKN TOLD YOU TO MOVE" whacker. As illustrated by the bent handle, it's done a lot of work :chair::rotflmao: It was a serious roller coaster ride with this exhaust. I was actually looking for a Corsa airbox on FB Marketplace, and this popped up in KCMO, about 3.5 hours...
