Thank you so much for making this reply. It's exactly what I was looking for to avoid splicing into another wire/under hood route! I'm doing the exact same on my 2013 Avalanche after testing voltage this morning.Old thread, but the issue is still relevant. I didn't want to run a wire to under the hood and no hot wire ONLY with ignition on is available in the driver side fuse panel on my 2010 Tahoe. I believe there is both down there. In each of those plug recepticals there should be a ground, constant+, switched+, and RAP+is that terminal RAP (retained accessory power)? or just acc switched
