    My service guy sez the shop has a special shaped tool they hammer onto the locking nut and then remove it with a long bar. I’m sure the thugs have the same tool.

    I’ve used powerstop and R1’s on my previous 2 K2s. All were slotted and drilled. Ceramic pads! No warpage and minimal dust.

    Chance are your only issue is the bearing/races. I don’t the issue is bad enough to have begun to spin the inner race on the axle, or you would have had bigger issues by now.

    New or used? If new, someone needs to pony up. Maybe start climbing the org chart at the dealer until you get someone responsible enough to get involved. Used, might take longer since they may say it “lost” now. Same process though.

    36k was bumper to bumper. Don’t play around unless you are really tight with the service mgr.

    Mine is a 20, but blend mount worked only without spacers. It’s tight enough. If yours is not without spacers, then try black tape. Since my detector is a mag mount device, it really needs to be tight.

    Does it work if your iPhone is unlocked after it’s plugged up? Mine only works after the device is unlocked.

    Oh, I’m all about guys that have time, resources, internet and can find YouTube. It’s the part about “budget rebuild” that makes me a bit nervous. Everyone will probably agree, first timers will break the budget before the first 2000 rpms.

    So, you have no experience? Unless you have a friend with experience, you may be spending extra “trial and error” resources on this project, i.e. special tools, incorrect parts, labor time. This is not your grandpas chainsaw. Not to mention a shop for all this fun to take place.

    This is my 3rd K2 and all 3 suffer from this flaw. I bought the replacement from my dealer for $35 and saw them online for $27 plus shipping when searching for removal video.

    in got it. Removed the clip holding the handle, the used muscle power to pull it off. Since it being replaced, I want concerned about damaging the sheath cracked piece.
