    That would be strange, as all 250+ 2005 Tahoes we've tuned over the years have a 0.8 second PE delay from the factory. Shoot me your VIN and I'll pull up a factory CAL and see if there isn't something different with yours specifically. You have me curious.

    To be fair, the 60 second PE delay is only on 2500+ models and it definitely sucks. Most will hit cat converter protection mode after about 10 seconds though and then go overly rich.

    Was the trans rebuilt to the same spec? Same torque converter used? If not, its possible that a tighter converter was installed, which would reduce response a bit, especially at low RPM.

    The noise difference between the plugged AFE vs not plugged is considerable. If you like that intake noise, then by all means, leave it open. If not, close it. Our dyno testing was with it open, however I am not certain that would have any real world impact on horsepower.

    Komet Motorsports has worked with some of our customers in the past for that type of installation. They have been nothing but honest and reputable in our experience.

    We would equally recommend the Edelbrock and the Magnacharger. Both are high quality kits with fantastic instructions and both have well-designed bypass setups. It would really come down to aesthetic styling and pricing.

    Yes sir, you shouldn't have any problems in that regard. As intake temps increase you'll automatically have the timing reduction needed to maintain safe operation. You'll likely not have to work the vehicle nearly as hard to get the power needed to accelerate and maintain speed.

    It is typically 100-120hp right out of the box, depending on fuel quality in your area. A simple 10 minute pulley swap can bump up the boost for another 60-80hp.
