We'd love to, as I have a sneaking suspicion that MRC is responsible for some of the vibration at high speeds that are encountered.

Why does MRC suck for you?

The tuning of the Denali Mrc is good nowhere. It’s too light when it detects sway, like turning and backing out of a driveway, the car will bounce and rock forever like blown shocks.
Then when your lightly loaded it’s way too stiff on compression and soft on rebound.
Good luck driving down a used dirt road, the truck just skips around. On a smooth not washboard dirt road it’s almost as bad.

Towing is about the only time it does something right.

I drove a Escalade with 22’s and it has the 3 settings. I think there soft setting is such that you can drive on the street and the dampening actually keeps the tire on the ground and doesn’t skip, or bounce forever over any speed bump, hump, crack, pot hole,
Man cover etc etc.

The tuning on the Denali is just horrible. It’s the worst of all worlds regardless if the truck is empty or full,
Driving slow or fast.
Albeit if say it’s a little bit better fast but that’s probably because the aero causes the truck to float quite a bit and the suspension isn’t actually working as hard (except big hits)

Basically at the end of the day, the valving (by tune) is wrong for the vehicle, especially the XL. I don’t know if the XL and the regular are the same tune. That would explain some of it. Less complaints from the swb crowd.

And the shock does not have the heat dissipating ability should you try to drive down a dirt road for 20 miles at anything over a creep.

You can feel the suspension first get confused and get really really really stiff,
Then start to over heat and get really really really soft.

These Denali xl’s have a lot of weight for a very small amount of fluid that not only has to gain heat from its job, but then the electrical movement creates heat as well. Not a lot, but every bit hurts.

Do you think the MRC in the Suburban Premier is tuned just as bad as the one in the Yukon XL Denali? I’m sure it only has one setting too but given the smaller engine and weight difference, I’m wondering if it’s tuned different?

The suburban premier will almost certainly have the same tuning as the denali. Unless for 18 they decide to have a switchable system. I for the life of me dont know why they cant make that an option and a back datable option.

My ideal vehicle would be the XL with the 6.2l, 4x4, all the other bells and whistles of the Denali EXCEPT the MRC.... ASs soon as someone cracks the code for fooling these things, im getting rid o them. Gone bye bye.

I have a 8/17 build denali 4x4 and I love the way it rides, I couldn't be happier with it. Now I may have a later flash to the shocks which is why???

For those who hate the MRC get your truck re flashed. How expensive could that be?

I have a few track buddies with C7 Z06's and their is software out there that they can tune their MRC in the vettes based on track/conditions/tires etc. Maybe the same software would work on the trucks w/MRC??

supposedly tony has something in the works, but i think its part of his new replacement adjustable coilover kit. think he posted avail in Q1 2018 or so.

Lg Motorsports has a mrc fooler for the 15+ corvettes.
I’m hoping that they work on the Denali. Then it’s just replace the shocks etc with some nice stuff and adjust the bags.

What would happen if I were to remove the entire MRC hardware from the car and replace that with say regular Fox Shocks?
