    Opinions/experiences, 2" level tire size

@MikeK1981 -> the rig's looking great! Like that you kept the chrome lugs with the chrome trim. Still having that lean issue? I've certainly read about this before on the TYForum, but found a nice little article on the web regarding "ISSUES W/ GM ZW7 Suspension". Take a look...

    Rear lift springs???

Great! So...after I looked up the Suburban z71 rear coil, I started thinking about the increased rear ride height from the z71 specific coil. I provided you the Suburban part# and when I looked at vehicle fitment, it only listed the extended bodies, NOT Tahoe or Yukon. I then went back to the...

    Rear lift springs???

Try GM Part# 23154235; for the SUBURBAN z71 rear coil. It will possibly referred to as "Rear Spring Assembly" or "Rear Spring" or "Rear Coil Spring" Purchase example here: https://www.gmpartsstore.com/oem-parts/gm-spring-assembly-rear-23154235?c=az0x

New to me '17 LT Z71... Lifted?

Welcome to the TYForum! Regarding your ?s: 1) Does z71 come w/ a lift from the factory -> NO, but it does have trim specific rear coils and rear struts 2) Stock wheel size for z71 trim (18" wheel) -> 265/65r18, basically 31.5" diameter I thought that z71 trim came from factory with the...

Yukon drives like a death trap after 4" lift.

@cbenten83 - Sorry to hear you're not enjoying the ride! I too have the 4" BDS lift kit (733H) installed. I use Xineering's OBD/SS magneride delete product to allow for a passive suspension setup. In order to be helpful, myself and other members, can you please answer the following questions...

    Full sized spare?

Well, I've had no problems so far running full size spare tires on my 2015 Tahoe LTZ; utilizing the rear underside/winch storage area. @WalleyeMikeIII posted pg. 358 of the owners manual, but that is states about storing a flat tire. I'm hoping this does NOT apply to an aired up spare...knock...

Rear Springs - Longer Springs options for 4" lift over using spacers?

Thank you @gmartin1215 & @Tozan ! I'm following. I've got the 4" Lift Kit on my '15 Tahoe LTZ w/ 3" rear option. Running a pair of OE z71 rear coils springs and the 3" BDS spacers provided w/ kit. Fox CO up front, MAYBE set a little too high. However, I really like the idea of using a rear...

    B pillar black trim rattle

These trim pieces are horrible!!! +1 on the 3M auto tape. I've used that on 2 of my pillars and that has helped. New trim pieces are $40+ shipping... Yes, you can remove. DON'T break the clip on the middle back of the trim piece, or it will be worse than when you started fiddling w/ it.

    Protecting door sills

I've got the chrome inserts that say "CHEVROLET" on my front driver and passenger door sills and there is detailed chrome insert on the rear passenger sills. About a year ago I covered these chrome inserts with some leftover CLEAR VINYL PROTECTIVE WRAP. It seems to be doing a pretty good job...

    Anyone else nickname their ride?

I've been into the band "Phish" for decades. My handle here on TYForum is a Phish song -> Oh Kee Pah Ceremony (oldie but goodie from the band in early 90s) My Tahoe's name is BBFCFM (setlist shorthand for the Phish song: ********* Furry Creature From Mars

Service Suspension notification on every start

I would suggest giving Xineering a call. Click for: Xineering's "Shock Sims" website Will, or owner Max, should be able to help you get going in the right direction. Their knowledge of the MRC is very solid, as well as the DTCs associated with the suspension system. I'm currently working...

    AC Condenser or compressor?

I've tried to attach the TSB on the Air Conditioning Condenser leak. GM Special Coverage Adjustment - 17336 Air Conditioning Condenser Refrigerant Leak Also, the transmission cooling line MAY be effected by the failing condenser. I had both the A/C condenser and trans cooling line replaced...

RC upper control arm bushings not pressed in all the way (by design)

Did you get to install the RC UCAs yet? No idea as to why the RC UCAs bushing is like that... I believe you were planning on going a little higher on the front end; did that happen?

    Winch installs on Tahoe PPV?

WELL DONE @Tall56Dog ! There are really very few options available for the '15-20 years. As with so many other "off-road/overlanding" aftermarket parts, companies are just not producing items for this platform. Unfortunately related to market share and owner demographics, it's not worth the...

BDS Suspension UCA Kit (#121152) - NEW product? - Has anyone tried these yet?

@BeenChevy - I hope the new setup works out as you plan. I like the idea of the upgraded lower ball joints. I was actually bumming around Mevotech's website the other day, focusing on those TTX control arms they have. I thought that might be my next "upgrade" if and when my OE UCAs go. As you...

My Experience with Fox 2.0 Coilovers

Absolutely correct. I did not necessarily mean to refer to the CV axle angle, but the control arm ball joint angle.

My Experience with Fox 2.0 Coilovers

The Fox coil overs fit the GM trucks as well. You will most likely experience more lift than advertised on your Tahoe...as you've seen in other members' posts; +1-3" after install (depending on your vehicle). The actual realized ride height increase is really leaning more towards the higher...

17 Yukon 4” ReadyLIFT SST Lift

@nick14226 - do you happen to have the GM part# for the UCA bumper? I think I've found it on a website, but hoping to confirm. These front UCA bumps are not there on my Tahoe; so either not installed at purchase date (bought as CPO) or shop removed them (w/out me knowing) when my Freedom...

    --- Photos: SPOTTER'S THREAD (post up all years/models) ---

It was fun to drive past this on the highway this week. One of the three LL Bean Bootmobile vehicles is parked outside of the entrance to the primary LL Bean factory store in Freeport, ME. This one was heading south towards Portland...anyone spot it from there? If you want to learn more...

BDS Suspension UCA Kit (#121152) - NEW product? - Has anyone tried these yet?

I think that's a bit of an odd statement coming from Freedom Off Road. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how the UCA cannot fit the '15 Yukon XL. The OE UCA fits 2015-2020 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, Escalade ESV. As well as 2014-2019 Sierra 1500 and Silverado 1500. ALL TRIM LEVELS. IMO -...

BDS Suspension UCA Kit (#121152) - NEW product? - Has anyone tried these yet?

You are correct, I DID have troubles with ball joints on the Freedom Off Road UCA. However, I am still not sure why that exactly was the case. I had purchased the non-greaseable ball joints since I'm in ME and the roads are horrible throughout winter. Perhaps the greaseable ball joint is...

BDS Suspension UCA Kit (#121152) - NEW product? - Has anyone tried these yet?

@BeenChevy - BUMMER! I guess you're returning the KSP UCAs...plans now? I ran for about 7500 miles, and have seen a few others here on the TYForum running them, Freedom Off-Road UCAs. They may be worth taking a look at before you spring big bucks for a big name brand UCA pair. I think the...
