Anyone run any type of clear "sticker" to protect the door sills/hatch sills? Dont want to get them all scratched up (wife/sons door to be specific hehe!). Son getting in the AT4 tonight after his soccer game made me think of it.

Something like this.

Subscribing to this. I already have scratches from my kids soccer cleats. They step right on the emblem and then spin around on it to climb down. (They are 3, 5 and 8 years old and every one of them does the same exact thing).

We were at the Cracker Barrel in Ocala today and there was tons of stuff to keep the little ones busy. They even had a miniature Atari game with played through a vintage tv set! Funniest things, even little mini arcade machines with the popular games on them, all kinds of stuff.

At the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing, right behind the Cracker Barrel, they had a couple of wooden dragsters that were simple enough for kids to put together in a car, if they don't get car sick like mine used to. Fun stuff.

No, it would never stick dependably... Sills get scratched up.... it's a fact of life.

I've got the chrome inserts that say "CHEVROLET" on my front driver and passenger door sills and there is detailed chrome insert on the rear passenger sills.
About a year ago I covered these chrome inserts with some leftover CLEAR VINYL PROTECTIVE WRAP. It seems to be doing a pretty good job, at least providing some protection.
I will try to get a photo today to post up here!

If you're talking about the painted part on the outside of the weatherstrip, I would go to a tint shop and have clear bra/PPF put on those areas. Those areas are very beat up on both my 2008 and 2013 and getting door jams repainted would probably cost thousands due to all the finnicky prep work it would take so whatever it costs to protect those areas is probably worth it, in my opinion.
