leveling kit, rough ride & still rubbing with 33s

Have any pictures of yours done? I'm going to do these mods then measure for tire clearance before ordering anything. I'm hoping to squeeze in some 285/65/18s but will go with 275/65 if I have to. Cranked my stock keys 1" and that's all its going for now.

    What is a Yukon XL 2500 ?

The Yukon XL Denali is a Yukon XL with a 6.2L engine, 3.42 gears and AWD transfer case. The Yukon XL 2500 is build on the 2500HD pickup truck frame/suspension/drivetrain. Completely different than the regular XL and Denali.

    What is a Yukon XL 2500 ?

The Yukon XL 2500 is the same as the Suburban 2500. It has a beefier trans, suspension, and axles as compared to the Yukon Denali. The Denali does have the 6.2L instead of the 6.0L in the 2500, but the 2500 comes with a lower axle ratio.

    Quality lift kits?

Also FWIW, I'd give the Rough Country a really good look. Im partial to Rancho and Superlift (ran the Superlift on my silverado set at 5"), but the RC is a non torsion bar drop (NTB) kit and is priced very well. This wasn't an option when I lifted my truck..... I'll be getting a NTB kit this go...

    Quality lift kits?

You're not going to get a good ride or "quality" from anything that is just cranking the torsion bars over 2". Keys are keys. If you want quality, go with a good 4" kit like the Rancho or similar. You're not going to like driving on any washboard roads on the way out to camp sites with keys...

    Quality lift kits?

That's what I'm building this time around too... It's to take my family of 6 to 4x4 access OBX beaches, skiing, pulling a travel trailer, etc. Definitely recommend a good look at the Rancho. Also check out the Superlift.... I'm not sure if it's the same kit for the Tahoe, but that's what I...

    Quality lift kits?

Rancho makes a solid 4" kit. I did the keys with 33s on my last truck and swapped it out for a suspension lift a year later, just didn't like the angles and ride. Though soon after putting on the 4" suspension lift I ended up adding a body lift and going with larger tires.... so 6" options...

    2008 Yukon 2500, need a lift?

$4700 for basically a better riding leveling kit?, well over $5k after adding in the necessary steering component upgrades to help with the angles... No thanks, I'll stick with the cognito 4-6", keep my angles flat for half the price. Edit : AND get the lift height I want. Not spending...

    2008 Yukon 2500, need a lift?

2500 = torsion bars dude ;) Cognito NTBD is the way to go, that's settled in my mind.

    2008 Yukon 2500, need a lift?

I've already had a truck with 8" lift and 36s.... not doing that with my Yukon.

    2008 Yukon 2500, need a lift?

I'm planning on doing the Cognito lift. Was looking more for if the OP ever lifted his to see how his height/tire/wheel setup worked out. Only 2500s I can find lifted are usually 7+ with 35s... not much data out there for what tires fit nicely at 5".

New Yukon XL 2500 member from NJ

Hey everyone figured I'd introduce myself. I'm new to this forum but have been around GM forums for over a decade... everything since the good ol days of CTW to gm-trucks, FSC, and GMFS. I started with a 2005 silverado that ended up with about 8" lift and 36" tires (with some strategic...

    Experience with black denali grills

Looking for reviews/opinions on black denali-style grill replacements. Seems there are a few manufacturers, and a few on ebay.... all plastic. Don't want to get one and have it feel/look cheap.

    2008 Yukon 2500, need a lift?

You ever lift this thing? I just brought home a 2500 and want a small lift. Curious how yours came out. I'm used to going overboard with my lifts but want to keep this one to the 4-6" range with 33-34" tires
