    With careful trimming I fit 305/60/18 stock, wheels were 9" wide +18mm offset.

    Glad you found the issue. Another common problem that has similar results is aftermarket wheels usually dont have the recessed surfaces like OEM wheels, and if you dont remove the rotor retaining clips the wheels wont sit flush.

    I think Santa is looking at complete steering upgrade with new UCAs as well. Nothing is worn out yet, but approaching 100k and will need new tires in the spring.... seems like a good time to replace/upgrade as PM, then align with new shoes

    Yes, doing so changes how the load is transferred through the joints; torque from the drivetrain vs torque from the tires. When you're on the gas the load/rotation in one directions may take up play in a worn joint vs when coasting

    Probably a CV axle or driveshaft. The angles from the lift often make old joints that seemed "ok" suddenly make noise. Try removing the front driveshaft and see if the noise goes away.

    Cough*and friction coefficient*cough ;) OP I've always used Akebono Performance series pads and Centric Premium rotors and have been pleased with the results. I haven't swapped brakes on my 2500 yet so I'm not sure how much (if any) improvement there will be over this particular setup, buts...

    You have to see where its rubbing. Spacers help if you're rubbing the frame or sway bar, which is common when running larger tires on stock wheels. Those wheels probably have a more negative offset then stock which normally caused rubbing on the fender liner. Adding spacers in this case will...
