Ooops... My fault... I was searching for anything on long travel suspension, found this, read it, and wanted to add what I've learned.....didn't even look to see what section the OP was made in...smh
Unfortunately I do not. Wasn't aware that the 21+ went to IRS either. But I did work for...
Yeah, I just stopped and started at it for a good 20sec... Then went in close and blasted off all that would come off. It's currently got a piece of white vinyl wrap over it. Not sure how I'm gonna remedy yet? Thinking either: salvage yard hood swap? -or- Sand and paint? But white...
forgive my ignorance... what is ppf??
edit: Nevermind, that was lazy of me lol.. Paint Protection Film! And it's available in Matte too! This has potential?!?!
Thanks for asking somebody in the industry! And that's exactly what I asked the tech guys at the ceramic coating companies. Some claim that their polymer based Matte finish formula will more "follow" the microscopic contours, those little peaks and valleys, and harden over top, in their...
Well.....I don't really know enough about the automotive paint industry to offer a technical answer? But....Flat Matte & Satin finishes have been available for years in rattle can and hobbyist form....and to best of my knowledge, when they first appeared in factory automotive finishes they...
@Coveman nice looking ride btw! Darn near twins. I went black door handles and mirrors... The bed on back of mine probably makes us cousins more than twins
Thanks for the input.. With exception of one anomaly, my clear is still amazingly pristine considering my Av has been a work truck since day 1, 134k miles ago (157 now). Early summer I was washing w/wife's little 16 or 1900 psi SunJoe electric pressure washer and out of nowhere blew paint off...

Been tryin to think of ways I could raise my truck game up nearer to the level of yours :D and have decided go Long Travel front suspension, w/DIY LCA's (cause you know I'm not...
For current and/or future readers.. Been looking at/for Long Travel Suspension parts and systems that fit the 2007-2013 GM 1500 4wd or GMT900 platforms for about 6wks now..
Front end- I can't think of any IFS or steering part: Long Travel, Mid-travel, or OE that is not cross compatible...
Been thinking about this for a couple years now. I've called 4 ceramic coating companies and 2 body shops to ask their thoughts about it, and have received 3 "yes, that should work but start in a small inconspicuous area first" answers.....and 3 "I don't know" answers. So I thought I would put...
Good question....I'm sure he would give you the answer
Not sure if this design would be best for rubber though?? Someone please correct me if Im wrong, but Im of the belief that urethane's benefit vs rubber is the ability to provide equally adequate shock absorption in a smaller package? -or-...
Ive pretty much decided that I'm going to remove my sensors all together....to avoid future drama. Need about one more week of parts sourcing/price shopping and I'm going to begin that process.
For the longest Ive been a solid believer in the Z55, it definitely flattens out high speed...
copy that.. i'm days away from start of my overweight luxury pre-runner build lol. Still haven't settled on rear shocks though.. Have two +3" Fox 2.5 remote res dsc's sitting here getting mad at me for not installing yet...
Have resistors tee'd up ready to buy, but I feel like best case...

Yes, and as the saying goes one bad apple can ruin the whole bushel... Doesn't have to but can...
Honestly, OBDIISHOP may be 110% legitimate with 1000's happy...
Thank you for weighing in and for checking out that form... I would hope it was truly harmless, but as I've said before on here(Escalade cluster ordeal): one of my biggest no-no's is "getting got"; and honestly the entire process was just off, e.g. --I haven't been able to log back into the...
Just wanted to share some of the observations I made during my search to cure my Motor Mount blues....and which style and manufacturer I ended up settling on, and why...

In an email on 9/6 I asked why my package had been frozen in Ft. Worth for the last 3 days? Their reply was (paraphrasing): that I had to give clearance to customs for it to be delivered. I asked...
No sir, not yet.. I did somehow make that same post twice though...
One of the two case's was out of stock at my local HF... I think it was the plastic one, which I think I liked better? We've been on the go the last two weekends and again this weekend. Haven't even been able to play...
