Had to rescue little sisters BF after his truck stopped starting. Thing has all sorts of electrical issues, it was nice of him to offer gas money to his friend who’s gonna drive him home, but I’m empty handed
That red paint duh!
Pretty sure it was a fairly new reman unit, it came out of a 95 exploader that the local FD used to cut the roof off in training. The reason I think it’s a newer motor is all the accessories look new, and the freeze plugs look new. I slapped the headers on for $250 because...
Totally unrelated to this truck but I bought a ranger sometime ago and finally got going on the engine swap. Wasn’t sure what was wrong with the motor in it but was told “it’s toast” well I found out why.
I wonder how hard it would be to fix, I don’t really mind being a horrible person and dumping it in the atmosphere. After all I’m not having kids so as long as the worlds okay for another 50years I’m good.
I believe we both donate it to the atmosphere. After all global warming is serious, adding refrigerant helps reverse the heat.
I’ve heard similar, I wonder why they switched.
Yeah sounds like orifice tube to me, it’s annoying how expensive even the cheapest cans of r134 have gotten. I’m at $9 a can at Walmart, used to be $3.99 at HF.
Cool that works, I’m off fridays and Saturday’s. I’ve had them in the truck before but they easy to get in and then it smells like...
There’s not much to those office tubes, just some mesh and a few orings rings IIRC. What are the pressures doing?
If you can wait till your in Tampa that would be awesome, but if you really need it gone soon just let me know. It’s close enough I can shoot down one evening. You throwing it in...
So 2.5-3 hours one way, let me ponder this a few days and look at my schedule. Could probably do a Friday and leave early in the AM or really whatever works for you.
Awww that’s a cute little guy!
Yukon looks so tough lifted I love it!
Should have bought a base model 4cylinder Tacoma instead of a Subaru. All those issues your having with the new stuff is exactly why I’ve stuck with older gen vehicles so long. I’d be pissed if my CTSV or new Subaru messed up...
I will have to keep this in mind because I have long considered getting a trailer brake controller and adding brakes to my big trailer, or upgrading to something beefier in the future. The limiting feature for this truck to tow more is 1000% the brakes. Even with the multiple brake upgrades...
Interestingly enough I have yet to replace that 30amp #2 Stud fuse that supposedly controls the trailer wiring. Yet my trailer lights work fine, so maybe idk what it controls.
