Hellwig vs Hotchkis sway bars and how hard to install

Totally agree with 91RS. While deciding on bars, Elbach tried to sell me on the story that there was not difference between solid and hollow bars, that it was the type of metal that determined the strength and rigidity of the bar. I just couldn't get my mind around that logic.

Hellwig vs Hotchkis sway bars and how hard to install

Yes, all you have to do is loosen the bolt that attaches to the bar and move it to innermost hole in the bar. Hellwig recommends starting with the outer most hole to see how you like the ride. I started with the middle hole, i guess your mechanic talked to you about the options or he just...

    21 Denali Front Plate Options

I always carried the front plate under the front seat and in case I got stopped, which I have gotten stopped 8-9 times, I would tell / show the officer that there was not any front mounting bracket, tell them that I had one on order, and beg forgiveness, say how crazy it was for the mfg not to...

    Puddle Lights

Here is the puddle light housing , it has the two pink (orange, what ever)/white wires coming to it. There is not a ground wire and the housing is not ground , still trying to make sense of it. I should be able to take one of the pink/white wires and connect it to the 15 amp fuse that controls...

    Puddle Lights

I'm back with questions about your puddle lights. I was starting my project today ( even though its 95 outside Grrr) I started at the puddle light housing to make sure what color the power wire was,(assuming that the ground would be black) well both wires going to the housing were white with red...

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

Probably not, she and our son in law live in another city, he is not inclined to take the time to do it. The investigating officer did not give either one a ticket because it could not determine who had the green light , but s in l and daughter went back to the seen and found a auto repair shop...

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

Yep, you never need it til you need it. Plus it provides some pretty good video of 'road trips' through the countryside. It also can take snapshots that will not be overwritten until you delete them. This was an interesting snapshot during a sunset drive home, I just clicked the dashcam to save.

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

I researched the market at the time for Dash Cams, but I did not want one that stuck to the windshield or on top of the dash ( too easy to see and to steal). I wanted front and rear camera, High resolution. I found a unit from KD Links, It mounts over your rear view mirror, its hard to tell that...

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

Be observant is the best advice. My dash cam has captured several accidents, here is a 'red light' runner about 47 sec into the clip, look for the small SUV turning left under the underpass. I gave a copy of the video to the guy driving the brand new pick-up so there would not be any doubt , you...

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

I know, right. I have had a dashcam for about 3 years in my Tahoe, (does front and rear recording) have not had to prove fault for me, but I have been able to provide video clips to people for the police accident report. You must see it every day. Yep the folded wheel, she was hit on the...

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

Our oldest daughter was hit by a red light runner yesterday. She walked away from the accident but has lots of bruises and cuts. Please tell your family and friends to be careful leaving an intersection under a green light because the RED LIGHT runners are becoming an epidemic level. She was...

2015 Tahoe brake, suspension, trailer package, stabilization trouble dashboard lights go on and backup camera does not work.

Man, I hate trying to isolate those kinds of issues. Have you tried to make sure your ground strap/wires from engine to frame are solid and not loose or corroded. Hopefully more members will chime in with more things to check.

    Puddle Lights

Ok good , I may wait until it is not 95 outside (101 in my garage,ha) I have had the door panels off a couple of times, so no sweat. I just need to find a good spot to tie into the interior light circuit. Thanks for your help

    Puddle Lights

Great idea, where did you tie into the interior light wiring ? I m so tired of digging for wires under the dash, I just finished the 'ALL On' jumper for the Hi/Lo Fog lights and my hobbit hands were hard to get that done, ha. is there a fuse that you tied into.

    Puddle Lights

I was having the same problem with the Puddle Lights (Approach Lighting). Followed the instructions in the 2013 Tahoe owners manual page 5-48 for setting up the APPROACH LIGHTING. Did it twice to make sure that I had it correct At first I thought it was the new LED bulbs I put in. so I put the...
