Guys who have trimmed (not removed) the air dam - how did you do it? Reciprocating saw and sand down the edges? I want to chop off about 2-2.5" off the bottom of mine while to gain me a bit of clearance while keeping a stock look.
Here's what I was looking at - someone on Amazon asked whether it was synthetic and someone quoted the back of the bottle as "full synthetic."

Still not sure though since I have found a few references on...
Definitely worth a try. Have you cleaned your PCV channel hoses? I sprayed carb cleaner through mine a few weeks ago and the amount of crap that came out of them was crazy.
Damn man, what a mystery. I'm sorry you're dealing with all this. Here's my idea, hopefully it leads somewhere. Take off the intake tube and have someone try various throttle positions (10%, half, WOT) while you watch the throttle plate. *Maybe* an internal issue with the throttle control motor...
I'm about to swap out all my drivetrain fluids and want to know what others have had success with. Here's what I'm thinking:
Front diff: Lucas 80W-90
Rear diff: Lucas 75W-90
T-case: ACDelco Dex VI
ATF: ACDelco Dex VI
Look good? Not looking forward to that ATF swap because of that exhaust. What...
With mine it wasn't the dash piece that was rattling, mine was coming from underneath the speaker grille. I popped off the grille and found out that one of the bolts holding the speaker to the dash was finger tight. Fortunately that one was an easy fix.
As long as the crack doesn't make noise, I'm not terribly concerned with it. I've already tracked down too many rattles and squeaks in only 10k miles of ownership... centerpoint speaker, tow/haul button, door lock plastic, and interior steering column to name a few... come on GM, not even my 15...
Be sure to check your trans fluid level while you're idling. 205 isn't terrible, but it's higher than I've seen.. I think the highest I've seen not under load is 190-ish. Also crawl around under your truck and check the lines going from the radiator to the trans.
Edit: I was curious so I pushed...
Ugh, noticed my first dash crack today. It's behind the gauge cluster and about 2" long. So what did I do? I bought a windshield sun shade thingy. Should have done that awhile ago.
Thanks! I'll probably keep the 18s on for the winter but I'm definitely not selling the 22s. Still saving up for some 33s for the 22s like I mentioned earlier in the thread.
2" lower strut spacer, 1" rear spring spacer with the autoride rods adjusted. Also went from 22s to 18s. With just the rear spacer, my rear was sitting 1/4-1/2" lower than the front and it drove me crazy, so I lengthened the rods so the compressor could lift up the back a bit. I will probably...
I ended up switching out the 22s for 18s to get a bit more sidewall. My 22s are sitting in storage though, and I kind of miss them, they looked good and got lots of compliments. I think for my next set of tires I will go with 33x12.50r22 (almost the same height as 305/45r22 but 1/2" wider and...
I test fit a 305/45r22 on my Suburban (2/1 level) at the tire shop. It fit fine, no rub, but it was close. I believe that is the largest 22" size you can run without trimming. In this size your all terrain options are limited though - Nitto Terra Grappler ($340/tire) or Hankook Dynapro ATM...
Damn, sorry to hear that. Let's hope it's an honest mistake and they make it right. The black one actually looks really good, I like how it's glossy black and not matte like so many of the cheap grill surrounds.
Your Denali looks great, def one of the best offroad-focused Yukons I've seen. Who makes that roof rack?
I'm having the same issue with the rear on my LTZ, I put in a 2/1 level and the rear is still lower. I'm going to extend the air ride rods to see if the compressor can bring it back up, but...
Extended models is referring to the Suburban and Yukon XL. I believe GM gave them all (Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL) the same manual to save money.
In other words, you can tow 7000.
