What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I already have tie rods, pitman and and idler arm done. Right now I'm trying to get a job because I had to quit my last one so once I get a new one I'll be getting most of that done, it probably will have to wait till December

    Popping from front end

That makes a lot of sense, and I don't remember it happening before I lowered it down some. Thanks for the help

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I can replace it all myself because i am going to a trade school to be a diesel mechanic and I would be able to use the shop and have my instructor help me out. I might as well buy, UCAs with pre pressed bjs, new cam bolts, and bushings and do it all at once. Wouldn't hurt considering they are...

    Popping from front end

Tie rods were replaced in august thinking that's what the popping was and it didn't fix it, I've checked bjs with the pry bar and there is no play. I feel it in the steering wheel and if it is the mounts then it makes sense that I feel it in the wheel because it's part of the suspension

    Popping from front end

Yeah I live in Maryland and everything on that truck is rusted underneath so I guess that's a good possibility. Didn't realize how many different things could be causing that pop. This is going to take a while to figure out

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I can move one of the camber bolts without loosening the nut but it will eventually go back to where it was. Would new UCAs and bolts fix that problem

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Anybody have those adjustable ball joints that give you extra range to adjust camber. I tried getting mine aligned and he said that on both sides the UCA bolts are so rusted that they are frozen and have to be cut off. I tried myself to see if I could get them loose but an impact gun at 650...

    Popping from front end

Yeah I did lower the keys a little bit because the back settled a bit and the truck was squatting. What would that do though?

    Popping from front end

With my luck if I don't try to fix it I'll hear a loud pop and watch my tire go rolling away

    Popping from front end

It is lifted but the angles aren't bad I've seen worse

    Popping from front end

Oh I've looked at them before and they are all cracked up and dry rotted. Never even thought they could cause it

    Popping from front end

Would that really cause popping noises

    Popping from front end

When turning sharp at slow speeds I can hear a popping noise and I am positive it's from the front end because I can feel it in the steering wheel. I checked my ball joints and there is no play. Any ideas? Also just replaced tierods hoping to get rid of it but no luck. But some good news is I'm...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The explanation was good, but when you mean flashed do you just mean like a tune from blackbear. And I have the flexfuel 5.3 so would I need different injectors or fuel rails

Ok. And what else did you need to do when you did the 6.0 swap. I know I need the ecm but is there anything else I'd need. I don't know for sure if I'm doing this but it's a hell of a lot cheaper then buying a newer truck.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I have a question for all the 6.0 guys. What transmission do you have hooked up to it? Will a 4l60e be able to handle the power or is it better just to go with an 80e

    Will 305/65R18 Fit?

I have 3" keys and 2" spacer in the back. The only trimming needed isn't even that noticeable
  24. 02_Tahoe

    Will 305/65R18 Fit?

Depends on width of wheel, that size is 33.6 and I have 33.3s on a 10 wide and I had to do some trimming and sometimes backing up over a bump I'll hear it slightly rub on the wheel well liner. If you go with 9 wides and some trimming on the lower valance then yes you can do it no problem, even...
