Body Control Module, BCM for 2003 Tahoe

I can provide some info on the BCM. It is below the steering wheel. I had to replace my BCM and got it reflashed at the dealer. The first link has a reply that mentions manually reprogramming the BCM instead of going to the dealer. The second link is about my trials and tribulations of a...

Questions before I replace my water pump

I'm pretty sure when you do the waterpump, you also need to replace the fan clutch. When I did mine, the waterpump came with a letter inside that said the warranty is void if you do not replace the fan clutch at the time of replacement. In order to avoid all that I removed the fan completey...

    Noises in dash

Sounds like a malfunctioning blend door or position actuator. If you are having heater issues then this would indicate that you probably need a new blend door. There are a lot of posts on this topic.

    Throttle Actuator Control Help

I think I finally solved the problem. I had the truck go into reduced engine power mode again and found that the connector at the Throttle body actuator had wiggled loose. The tabs that hold the connector on were brittle and had broken. Amazon actually sells the connector (AC Delco PT2628 -...

    Pioneer Nav illumination wiring

Just an fyi, the brown/white wire will work as this is what I used but the voltage on the wire changes with the dimmer switch in the truck. So when the dimmer is on full to about 1/2 way you will have dimmed lights on the Pioneer head unit. But once you start going below 1/2 way on the dimmer...

    alternator OD pulley

I think the Torx head on the inside of the pulley is used to hold the pulley still while you try to remove the nut for the pulley but it doesn't work. I tried for a while before I gave up. Just have a shop near you remove it with an impact gun and install the same way. It will take about 2...

    Engine Hours- What's High?

225k miles with 6500 hours. I am the second owner. I know it didn't idle a lot and most of these were highway miles. Averages to 34.6 mph or 1 minute 45 seconds per mile. Sounds reasonable to me. haha

    Need New Body Control Module

Don't you have a dome over ride button next to your headlight switch? How come you removed all the bulbs? Are you sure you have a new bcm? This sounds like my exact problem and I had to refresh the bcm because of it.

How To: Remove and Install New Steering Wheel

Put it at 12 and 6 o'clock. You will flex the trim quite a bit but I didn't do any permanent damage. Things will get a bit sketchy because I was pulling with the puller for a while then the wheel just launched off the spline of the shaft pretty suddenly. You may want to keep the nut from the...

    Steering Wheel color change ideas...

Yes I bought one of the steering wheels. Here is the post of my install. http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44062 I don't see any tan colors. Only gray and black. Might have to call them. The wheel is holding up great. The leather feels great and even smells good. Seems...

How much did the wheel run you? Why not just buy the wheel you want with the color you want. You can get a brand new one for $100. I did a write up on it recently.

Replacing Backlights in Steering Wheel Controls

Ya it gets warm but it's an incandescent bulb not an LED. I haven't had any problems. I just couldn't justify replacing with the factory buttons since they are so expensive.

Small pick tool with a right angle. It's held in there with compression from the foam in the steering wheel. Nothing more.

    Easy HID retrofit

    Easy HID retrofit

Ya just trying to keep it so I can take it all apart one day. I didn't want any cuts in the wires. TRS also has correctional high beam splitters for GM which have diodes in them to make sure the xenon bulb stays on with the solenoid actuated. I didn't need to do this since I did the four high...

    Easy HID retrofit

I ordered a set of MMH1's and H1 XB35 H1 bulbs and Nick shipped the plates yesterday. I want the bixenon functionality to work with the H1's. I already have a DDM harness for my HIDs in my denali projectors but its not installed. Do I need a bixenon harness? Where can I get one?

    Passenger rear window doesn't work

Try holding the window switch while giving the door panel some quick whacks with your fist. Should free up the motor. Sounds like its stuck. But you will probably have to replace it since this is just a temporary fix to get it moving.
